NTDS Passive Tap Box Data Sheet

NTDS Parallel Passive Tap Box

Sabtech’s NTDS Parallel Passive Tap Box is the ideal solution for hardware interfacing with many types of MIL-STD 1397C NTDS where monitoring 32-bit data and control lines is required. The tap box permits ease of external equipment interconnections to form a “tee adapter” for data monitoring/acquisition. There are three models of the Parallel Passive Tap Box. Each may interface with NTDS types A, B, C, and H.

Each model interconnects to the appropriate NTDS cable(s) and allows easy interconnection to the popular D-Sub connectors, thereby permitting other equipment to monitor/record NTDS command/data. Control signals and the lower 16-bit data are accessible via the 50 pin D-Sub connectors. The upper 16-bit data is presented on the 37 pin D-Sub connectors. There are no manual controls or indicators; complete automatic operation is assured.

The Parallel Passive Tap Box is completely passive to both signal and return lines. No external power supply is required. It is a fully automatic tap and it comes in a stand-alone or flange-mountable configuration.
